Paniza Winery
La Fea wines (La Fea red, La Fea Reserva, La Fea Gran Reserva, La Fea white, La Fea tempranillo, La Fea Garnacha) are made in Paniza, a small village in Aragon from which the winery takes its name.
The small town of Paniza is located near Cariñena where more than 60 years ago Bodegas Paniza started making wine combining tradition with innovation.
The vineyards
of Bodegas Paniza are placed within the territory that delimits the Protected Designation of Origin Cariñena and occupy an area of approximately 3,000 hectares.
The vines
of Bodegas Paniza grow at 850 m above sea level giving the fruits of the vineyards unique characteristics. The star variety is the Garnacha, a grape that produces aromatic, fresh, round and seductive red wines.
The terroir
from which the grape is born is diverse and special, managing to create a grape with a quality, recognized at international level. In the lower areas we find brown-limestone, sandstone and clay soils and in the higher areas slate soils predominate.
Raventos Rosell Winery
La Fea Cava is produced at the Raventós Rosell winery, an estate in the municipality of Masquefa, with the mountain of Montserrat as its main façade.
The terroir
Raventós Rosell has 52 hectares of its own vineyards, located in the middle of Penedès with the presence of the mountain of Montserrat. A vineyard where pruning and constant revisions make the maximum premise, and a good selection that produces the best harvests.
The Vineyard
Vineyards where we work the three varieties of the Penedés: Macabeo, Xarel-lo and Parellada, which provide the structure and aromatics of the area, using Chardonnay and Pinot Noir which help us to give body, structure and vinosity.
The Climate
The influence of the Mediterranean climate on the Raventós Rosell vineyards is manifested in mild winters, dry and hot summers, and rainfall that is irregularly distributed throughout the year. The uniqueness of this small microclimate is the essence of the winery.
